So I ordered some new jeans from Old Navy - the same kind I already have but just a size smaller in a 14 - well you could have knocked me over with a feather when I tried them on and they fit!
I wore them to work the next day and everyone commented on them and how good they looked on me. My very good friend and I were talking and I told her I was surprised that my fat butt fit in the jeans and she said. "I hate to break it to you, but you are not fat anymore." People have been telling me that for a little while now, but it took her statement at the right time for me to finally step back and think - hey maybe she is right... I know I still have a ways to go, but I think I can finally look at myself as average and not fat anymore.
So here is to new jeans and a five mile run to celebrate the Fourth of July!!

oh that is SO happy 4th of july! Congrats!
Smart friend you have there!
Make sure to take the time to really get to know your new body and let your mind catch up with the physical appearance. Try to see the real you in the mirror not the you that used to be!
What a wonderful revelation! When I lost my weight the first time, it was very hard to get out of the "I'm overweight" mindset.
