Week 18 weigh in.

I stayed the same - I was really excited to possibly get my 10% award, but oh well, not this week. I am worried about next weeks weigh in already - I'm going to Reno and I know I will have a challenge eating there. I'm taking snacks with me in hopes that I won't over do it. I got my very pretty gym bag in the mail on tueday, it is so nice! I can't wait to use it! I got this bag - in black and pink ....

It is an Overland Equipment Bag - they are made in Chico CA, not too far from where I'm at and very well made. My 10% reward is another bag from them, to use as a purse, but it is sitting in my bedroom taunting me until I make my 10%.
I have an appointment with a trainer at the gym on Saturday - I'm very excited about that - I hope to learn how to make the most out of my workouts and use the equipment effectively.

November 24

Yesterday was my younger sons birthday - he turned 8. It almost doesn't seem possible! We had a wonderful day, spent shopping, eating and playing. It started with the Santa parade where he got to carry the banner for his daddys band. After walking the parade route he was hungry so we headed towards Red Robin where we met up with my parents and had lunch. We played miniture golf at an indoor place where it is black light golf. We went to the Disney outlet store, Target, Toys R Us, Wal Mart, and Circuit City (To see his big brother) We ended with eating Dinner at McDonalds on my older sons lunch break so we all ate together. It was such a wonderful day! Happy Birthday Logan!! I'm glad you had a wonderful day!!

Week 17 weigh in!

I lost 2.6 pounds this week! I am shocked! Don't get me wrong, I was on program all week, but 2.6 pounds is a lot in one week! I am now down 25.1 pounds I got two awards one is a little washer looking thing that says 25 pounds and the other is this magnet...

I am now only .9 away from my 10% and I will get a 10% keychain. I am hoping to do that at the next meeting.

Week 16 weigh in!

This week went very well. I stuck to my workout plan and I dropped 1.4 pounds! I'm now down a total of 22.5 pounds! At the meeting I also got my 16 week charm! It is so pretty and a reminder of my hard work and the fact that I have stuck to it. This is what it looks like....
(this is not my actual one, but a photo of someone elses I found on the net, but mine looks the same)

I have also almost caught up watching the biggest loser that we had DVR'd - I have decided I want a workout shirt like the one Julie wears - it says "To finish what I've started, for once." What an inspiration those people are!

A belated Halloween Post.

We had a very nice time on Halloween - despite me not feeling well. We went over to my parents house (A holiday tradition), Both my boys were there and we were joined by Matts girlfriend Jess. Jeff took Logan around the neighborhood which wasn't very busy at all and we just sat around a had a great time. Here is a picture of my little pirate. The costume was ALL his idea and mostly homemade and picked out by him. I did have to buy the sword, gun and hook. He wouldn't smile in the picture because you know pirates don't smile.

Week 15 weigh in!

I lost another 1.2 pounds - for a total of 21.1 pounds lost so far! I was very happy with myself - I ate out 4 times last week!

I also started working out - I walked about 20 mintues today on the treadmill. I probably could have done a little more, but I think I started out too fast and got tired quickly. I'm planning on doing the treadmill 3 times a week and resistance training three times a week and take Mondays off from working out - it is my late day at wokr and my weigh in day, so I have a lot on my plate on Mondays.

Book Review - The Abduction - Mark Gimenez

Book Description From Amazon - Ben Brice lives alone in the New Mexico wilderness where he battles memories of Vietnam with oceans of Jim Beam. Miles away in Texas, his estranged son, John, an Internet geek-turned-billionaire, half watches his daughter Gracie's soccer game while conducting business on his cell phone. When her mother Elizabeth arrives, the coach reports that her uncle has already collected Gracie. But Gracie has no uncle--she was kidnapped.
From international best-selling author Mark Gimenez comes a terrifying thriller in which dark family secrets make the finding of ten-year-old Gracie Brice more uncertain with every passing minute. And so begins a furious race against time to save Gracie from unknown kidnappers. With the FBI camped out in the Brice mansion, the family offers a reward of $25 million. Somehow, Ben and John Brice must find Gracie before it is too late. As the story unfolds with riveting twists and turns, the reader discovers that behind the kidnapping is an extraordinary government plot that could change the course of American history. And time is running out....

This was a pretty good book with lots of twists and turns - sometimes hard to keep up with though. Overall I really liked the story and I would definitely read this author again. Well written!
