Sac Fit Saturday!!

What a wonderful day!! I started the day a little nervous since I would not only be coaching for the first time, but I would not be running alone, I would be running with a person I really admire - Jen the red group head coach. I wanted to make her proud and I did just that! I was pretty much on pace until we started back, then I got going a little fast, but I didn't leave anyone behind and a couple of them past me on the last half mile and sprinted in! Afterwards as a group we all went and streched and we had a great talk - I can't wait to get to know them all better and they are already telling me they will follow me anywhere! We ran 38 minutes which ended up being 2.5 miles for us.

Hubby is in the pace group right behind me and he had a good run as well. They ended up turning around a little late due to traffic on the trail and trying to distance the groups out better for the way back and he did 2.75 miles total. I'm so proud of him!! He said todays run felt better then his pace run, he was more relaxed and he looked great!!

*Edited to add details about sacfit!* I should explain for all my new followers - I joined Sacfit in July of last year as a way to get in better shape and train for a half marathon. I went from not running at all - to running two half marathons in that season. The new season is to get us ready to run or walk the American River Parkway Half in May. We are a large group that covers everyone from people running an 8:30 mile - to walkers who just want to go out and enjoy a walk and friendship. I have met so many great people and my fitness level is so much better than it was over a year ago. This year not only did I decide to come back and coach, but my husband decided to join as well!!

I'm a little confused about what this is and how it works. But great job on another great run!

Sounds great! I am definitely going to join you in the coming years! I told Matt we need to as soon as we are done with school. Yay for Ikea tonight!

You must be so proud of yourself. I know I'm proud of you, from never running to now leading a group. Good for you.
